About Us
The South Johnston High School Alumni Association is the pioneer Association for Johnston County Schools. The Association is the FIRST EVER to be recognized by Johnston County School Systems and that is all largely credited to the support of Principal Eddie Price. The Association strives to reconnect our graduates through alumni events and to support the further development of our alma mater for a new generation of students. The Association was established in October 2009 and is legally registered with the NC Secretary of State Office as a non profit organization. The Association has a Board with voting members. Meetings are open to South Johnston High School graduates. Meeting notices are made public through Johnston and Wake County media publications.
Mission
To unite all alumni, staff, friends and supporters of South Johnston High School in order to promote and maintain high standards of conduct, academic merit and athletic achievement and exert a beneficial influence upon the faculty, staff and students of South Johnston High School. This is to be achieved by either monetary or in-kind contributions from the South Johnston High School Alumni Association.
Objectives
* To promote the educational, athletic and social achievements of South Johnston High
School Students.
* To provide leadership, guidance, time, money and talent to the school and its programs.
* To provide social communication for the Alumni.
Goals
* To initiate a scholarship fund.
* To maintain and increase membership in the Association.
* To increase and strengthen support for academic programs, extracurricular activities and athletic events.
